Marketing blog crossing blog

IT CAN'T BE FOUND
Huh, that title has so many blog's my fingers start to wander across the keyboard, wondering where to go. I am also wondering where to go with this blog, obviously my blog marketing skills suck and nobody has visited this blog (yes, there's the word again). Having no visitors wasn't too big a surprise, because I couldn't find this from search engines either and I knew what to search for :O

GUESS WHAT I FOUND INSTEAD?
Now, imagine me typing in various search terms and desperately looking for any sign of my tiny website. No such luck! But I did find blog crossing idea that originated in French speaking part of the world. There the idea was such that two bloggers would swap blogs and after a month of guest writing swap right back. So my blog swap idea wasn't that special after all. All that's left is solid application. Now I just have to make this work.

MARKETING
Huge marketing push is in order, eh? I truly believe that this blog crossing activity could set some wheels in motion, especially among Blogger crowd. So I have to tell you guys about this stuff.

Blog recycling

Big things have big foot steps - you know where this is going - and small things have small foot steps, environmentally speaking that is. Recycling is a good thing, because it transforms heavy impact into a cascade of tiny droplets, and trash is gone.

When we come down in the size of things, it all becomes more interesting. What's the point of recycling a grocery shopping recite? A good habit, maybe? We use more effort in recycling it than what we get back with the action. Nonetheless, we try our best.

It is this warm feeling of doing our best, the sense of familiarity of habit and enjoyment of righteousness that push us into action. For this insignificant action we expect everything in return. Why not, we are doing something, right?

But it doesn't end there. World is peppered with services and digital products, can those be recycled? I don't know how to give my old hairstyle to a person in need, but I do know someone just might buy that e-book, which I never managed to read. It would be quick to delete and fast to forget, also it would free up some space.

The idea of nothingness for digital content brings out some strange wibes. Maybe recycling digital content would somehow revalue it, justify its' creation in the first place. I haven't done any searching, but I hope there is a place online, which let's us to recycle iTunes songs etc.

What's the point then? It doesn't exist, so it won't harm nature, right? Wrong, think about all those things you have to do - to make the money needed to buy the song or mobile phone logo, or ring tone, you name it. Are you starting to realize, how much clean air you save for your after-60-years-we-are-a-pair-of-80-year-old-and-very-very-weak lungs?

This is where I come in. I put together an idea of recycling blogs. Blogs that we have authored at some point of time are bound to have more sentimental value than random items we use to fill our attics. This is why I bet that internet has masses of dormant blogs, which deserve to have a new lease on life. Make an effort, recycle something you once cared about. It will have huge impact on the new author and the more they gain, the less they need to destroy nature.

Do you see anything you would like to blog cross?

Stickman Noir

Well this is something that I want to let go. Stickman Noir was just a test on how comics would work in blog format. Later on it lead into an ongoing infinity project about conspiracies, corporations and astrology. Try to Google that by the way, I give a link for that industrious person who knows how to use Google search.

Anyway, Stickman was just a 10 min technology test and it worked, therefore Stickman became obsolete almost immediately. It has been drifting in internet limbo for all this time. Now it's time for someone to have that special feeling about it and get it back into the game.

Let's have another go

And this time with a feeling. Already years old idea can't be bad, right? You must author some blogs that have been just lying there on the bottom of your bloglist. Take action, recycle your blogs and give them to a new author. Give your old and forgotten blog a new lease on life!

How to cross a blog?

Well how do I know? Nobody is doing it! We can start by listing blogs that we want to set free on this site. Write an email to me and tell me that you are interested and we set it up together. See anything interesting? Contact desired blog owner and soon you are a deliriously happy owner of an old blog.

What is blog crossing?

Blog crossing borrows on the idea of book crossing. Wikipedia explains it the best, but basically it is about leaving a book on public place for someone to take it. This website is doing the same only with blogs.

So come on, are you fed up with your blog and is it now dying in neglect? Make your day and participate on blog crossing and set them free!
